Add one or more 12 inch base "risers" as shown here to ensure adequate height
for even the largest astronomer and most telescopes.
Shipped assembled and ready to use, you
can be out there enjoying the sky minutes after delivery.
Simplicity is affordability and this dome makes night viewing accessible
to everyone but still features the same power options as our larger domes.

Our 12 foot diameter domes are perfect for the individual seeking a little more
room or space for more than one telescope. Large enough for several astronomers,
this observatory is ideal for schools and astronomy groups.
Requiring only 6 man hours to assemble and weighing just 420 lb. installation of this
dome is also a snap.
The clamshell shutters of the 12 foot observatory are light enough to be operated by hand
but most customers opt for the hand operated or powered opening
option. Either way this dome is still presents an affordable opportunity for the amateur astronomer
or the budget conscious institution.

Elongated domes offer yet another alternative where space constraints, equipment configuration or
usage objectives do not require a spherical enclosure. The 7 x 12 foot dome for example is ideal
for customers that do not need the 12 foot but need more room for a longer telescope.
Elongated domes can be based on any of our standard domes. A 12 x 18 foot dome uses a split
12 foot dome for the ends just as the 7 x 12 foot dome uses a split 7 foot dome for the ends.
These domes represent the non-stop innovation at work at Astro Haven.

The clam shell design is also perfect for large enclosures and Astro Haven is currently offering
16 and 20 foot domes Using a foam core for rigidity there is almost no limit on how BIG we can go
to meet your requirements.
Big domes are installed by Astro Haven trained personnel so you are assured of rapid and trouble free
installation.
